由於內地資本帳逐步開放以及近年來人民幣國際化步伐加快，加上在當前利率環境下人民幣債券具有融資成本優勢，因此在過去兩年，香港發行的人民幣債券發行量明顯增加。這一趨勢在今年延續，根據金管局提供的數據，今年首8個月的人民幣發行額已超過去年全年發行額。
